Augustus where the Caledonian Canal runs into Loch Ness.
The area offers lots to interest you. We have
numerous forestry walks around Invergarry, Fort Augustus
and Glenmoriston along the canal, the Great Glen Way and
the South Loch Ness Trail.

Walking
from Fort Augustus to Lady Falls (Culachy Falls)
is a pleasant way of spending a summer morning.

We also have cycle hire and boat trips up Loch
Ness. In the village you can visit the Clansman Centre,
the Canal Centre, watch the boats going through the
locks, paddle in Loch Ness, have a look at the Abbey to
name just a few things you will see.
There are many places to eat and shops to browse
which sell items of interest to the visitor. If you

Fort Augustus is also a good touring centre for Skye and
Eilean Donan Castle to the north-west, Urquhart Castle,
famous monster exhibition and Inverness to the north
east, Aviemore, Landmark Centre, Blair Castle and
Pitlochry to the south west and Fort William to Ben
Nevis, Glencoe, or Harry Potter train to Mallaig to the
west.
